CFTR Promotes Tax Protests

Citizens for the Republic is working with other major conservative organizations to oppose the reckless spending and higher taxes being imposed by the Obama Administration and Democratic Congress. The federal budget deficit will grow to $1.8 trillion this year alone, as Uncle Sam now borrows 46 cents for every dollar it spends. No nation has ever taxed its way to prosperity, and the $787 billion Obama Stimulus package failed to create a single job while driving America further into debt.

Citizens for the Republic continues to support the Tea Party Movement, and will again participate in the critical tax protests scheduled nationwide from August 28 to September 12, 2009. In just six months, the Obama Administration has taken actions that will bankrupt our country. The wasteful stimulus package, corporate bailouts, and pork-laden spending bill for special interests are now being followed up with an energy tax that even President Obama admits will cause energy prices to "skyrocket" and a universal health care scheme that will conservatively cost more than $1 trillion.

America simply cannot afford the insane, fiscally irresponsible plans being adopted by Washington. Conservatives must stand up for their principles of limited government, free markets, and fiscal responsibility. Contact Citizens for the Republic to get involved in this important cause to rebuild the conservative movement.
